FUEL BLENDING DEMONSTRATION OF CLARUS OIL-CAT FOR THE 16TH MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE
On October 18, 2006 Corporal David Lanham, a strong proponent of the fuel blending process, conducted a fuel blending demonstration for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) at Camp Lejeune, NC. The demo was a great success resulting in the Oil-CAT being deployed when this 2,100 soldier unit deploys in January on the LSD 51, USS Oakhill, (a vessel Clarus Naval Marine Services has worked on several times, most recently in September of 2006).
If successful, the Oil-CAT will become a standard issue tool for all MEU's within the Marines.
