CMF Benefits
CMF goes above and beyond Navy Specifications to address a wide range of problems that cannot be addressed by using the minimum technology to meet specification. Some of the benefits of a CMF services are:
- Contamination Removal- The majority of contaminants in hydraulic systems are below 1-micron in size. Traditional Flushes can only remove particles greater than 40-microns. Clarus CMF removes particles as low as 0.01-microns. 80% of contaminants in hydraulic systems are under 5-microns in size.
- Quality - Traditional flushes count the number of particles found in the filter bag with the naked eye to measure cleanliness levels. Clarus can measure the full range of contaminant sizes and performs inline analysis.
- Efficiency - Clarus uses state-of-the-art processing and monitoring equipment to statistically track the removal of contamination from the system. This allows the job to be completed in a faster time frame with higher quality for less money.
- Lubricant Reprocessing-Clarus performs non-destructive lubricant flushing, enabling the lubricant to continue to be reused at the end of the job, making economic and environmental sense.
- Specialized Equipment- Clarus uses or invents the most progressive contamination control and monitoring technology available. The technological superiority of the equipment solves additional lubrication issues, also allows the jobs to be finished in less time with lower costs.
- Varnish, sludge & deposit removal-Published studies show that even flushes with high Reynolds values are not able to remove system deposits. Clarus has developed a process that does.
- Tank Contamination Analysis (TCA) - Most contractors use their cheapest labor to perform confined space tank cleaning providing very little value. Clarus has highly qualified technicians that perform this task and view the inside of a reservoir as an archeological site. Every portion of the reservoir is carefully photographed and debris is collected and saved. There is valuable information contained in the remnants found in a used oil tank. Clarus uses this information to identify oil degradation mechanisms and to perform root cause failure analysis.
